Medical Education

The Division of Cardiology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) has had a long tradition of providing world-class and innovative medical education to students, physicians-in-training, and health-care professionals. 

All Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) cardiologists hold faculty appointments in the UCSF School of Medicine and provide formal instruction in the classrooms, inpatient hospital wards, and outpatient clinics.  The cardiology faculty also have held key leadership positions within multiple educational programs; helping to shape generations of trainees.  Renowned for their educational talent, the cardiology faculty have received numerous, prestigious campus-wide teaching awards.  The inpatient cardiology teaching service is consistently ranked by UCSF trainees as the best educational experience at ZSFG.  The faculty also put on the highly rated annual UCSF Advances in Heart Disease conference that attract physicians and allied-heath care providers from across the country.
