Continuing Medical Education

The Division of Cardiology organizes Advances in Heart Disease every year in San Francisco with UCSF accreditation for continuing medical education.

The 36th session of the largest annual cardiology program on the West Coast is scheduled for December 2019. Advances in Heart Disease strives to present topics that highlight new evidence-based medicine findings reported within the prior one to two years that impact clinical practice. These range across a wide variety of subspecialty interests including preventive cardiology, adult congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology, clinical electrophysiology, cardiac imaging, pharmacotherapy, clinical cardiology, and cardiac surgery. Speakers include distinguished academicians from across North America together with outstanding UCSF teachers and clinicians. The course is intended for cardiovascular specialists, general cardiologists, internists, family physicians, cardiovascular and critical care nurses, and physician assistants.
